Officials

The MAAA Conference officials work varsity adapted athletics games in the metro and greater Minnesota. Our officials are a vital part of adapted athletics by enforcing the rules of the game fairly, and consistently, and holding students and coaches to behavior expectations are vitally important to high school events. Games are typically held on weekdays after school starting between 4:30-6:30pm.

Would you like to stay involved with sports? Do you want to provide a valuable service? Would you like to contribute to the education of today’s youth?

Then become a sports official!  Men and women of all ages are needed to officiate high school adapted athletics. If you love sports, have a “feel” for the game, and a basic grasp of the rules you can be an official.

Perhaps you are a former athlete, parent or fan of adapted athletics? Current or former teachers and coaches make great officials as well!

Experience is not required!

If you already officiate in the MSHSL, becoming an adapted official is easy! You can register for Adapted Soccer, Adapted Floor Hockey & Adapted Softball through the MSHSL.

Contact our Officials Coordinators for guidance on registering.
